About SJH Group
SJH Group is the corporate home of an employee owned group of specialist publishing and creative businesses based in London. UN75: Sustainable Engineering in Action was published for ICE in November 2020.
Publishing with purpose
The SJH Group brings together publishing, film, digital media and events businesses. Its publishing imprint, St James’s House, produces landmark publications for commemorative occasions, institutional celebrations and authoritative impact.
That combination of editorial, design and production expertise shapes UN75. The book was created as an official publication for the Institution of Civil Engineers, with contributions from UN agencies, WaterAid, Oxford University and other partners.

The UN75 commission
UN75 examines the ICE and UN’s shared commitment to shaping a better future. It addresses the diverse challenges that lie ahead, informed by the Sustainable Development Goals and the agencies involved in implementing them.
The result is a hardback publication that moves between policy, photography and engineering practice. It shows how rigorous, long term solutions are being developed across health and sanitation, human rights, the climate, urban growth, economic development and agriculture.
